Ingredients
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1/8 to 1/4 ounce decarboxylated cannabis (depending on desired potency)
• 1 tablespoon high-proof alcohol (like Everclear)
Preparation
1. Decarboxylate the Cannabis:
• Preheat your oven to 240°F (115°C).
• Break up the cannabis into small pieces and spread it evenly on a baking sheet.
• Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cannabis is lightly browned and fragrant.
2. Infuse the Alcohol:
• Place the decarboxylated cannabis in a small glass jar.
• Add the high-proof alcohol and seal the jar.
• Shake the jar vigorously and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, shaking occasionally to ensure the cannabis is thoroughly infused.
3. Mix the Sugar:
• In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar with the cannabis-infused alcohol. Stir well to ensure the sugar is evenly coated with the infusion.
• Spread the sugar mixture out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. Dry the Sugar:
• Preheat your oven to its lowest setting (usually around 150°F or 65°C).
• Place the baking sheet in the oven and let the sugar dry for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally to break up any clumps. The alcohol will evaporate, leaving the cannabis-infused sugar behind.
5. Store:
• Once the sugar is completely dry, transfer it to an airtight container.
• Store the cannabis-infused sugar in a cool, dark place. It can last for several months when stored properly.
