About the Recipe
At the Wake’n’Bake Lounge, we believe that the simplest ingredients can create the most profound experiences. Our cannabis-infused honey is a perfect example of this philosophy. Easy to make and delightful to use, cannabis-infused honey is a must-have in any culinary cannabis enthusiast’s kitchen.

Ingredients
• 1 cup honey (preferably raw, organic)
• 1/8 to 1/4 ounce decarboxylated cannabis (depending on desired potency)
• Double boiler or slow cooker
• Cheesecloth
• String or twist ties
• Small glass jar with lid for storage
Preparation
1. Decarboxylate the Cannabis:
• Preheat your oven to 240°F (115°C).
• Break up the cannabis into small pieces and spread it evenly on a baking sheet.
• Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cannabis is lightly browned and fragrant.
2. Prepare the Infusion:
• Place the decarboxylated cannabis in a piece of cheesecloth, tying it securely with string or twist ties to form a bundle.
• In a double boiler or slow cooker, combine the honey and the cannabis bundle. If using a double boiler, make sure the water in the bottom pot does not touch the top pot.
• Heat the mixture on low for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally. Ensure the temperature stays below 200°F (93°C) to preserve the honey’s natural enzymes and prevent degradation of cannabinoids.
3. Strain and Store:
• After the infusion period, remove the cannabis bundle from the honey, allowing it to drain thoroughly to extract as much infused honey as possible.
• Pour the infused honey into a small glass jar and let it cool to room temperature before sealing with a lid.
• Store the cannabis-infused honey in a cool, dark place. It can last for several months when stored properly.
