About the Recipe

In the cozy, bustling kitchen of the Wake'n'Bake Lounge, we are always on the lookout for ways to transform classic comfort foods into something extraordinary. This recipe is more than just a method for making gravy; it’s a story woven from the threads of nostalgia, family, and a touch of modern culinary magic.

Ingredients

- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

- 2 cups beef or chicken broth, preferably homemade

- 1 tablespoon cannabis-infused oil

- 2 teaspoons soy sauce (optional, for depth of flavor)

- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Preparation

1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

2. Add the flour to the melted butter, whisking continuously to form a roux. Cook the roux for about 2-3 minutes until it turns a light golden color.

3. Gradually whisk in the broth, ensuring there are no lumps. Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.

4. Reduce the heat to low and let the gravy simmer gently. Stir in the cannabis-infused oil and soy sauce, if using. Continue to simmer for about 5-10 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened to your desired consistency.

5. Season with salt and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

6. Serve the gravy hot over mashed potatoes, roasted meats, or any dish that could use a little extra warmth and flavor.
