About the Recipe

In the artisan's corner of the Wake'n'Bake Lounge, where every ingredient tells a story, we take the simple act of bread-making and elevate it with a touch of herbal enchantment.

Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 packet (about 2¼ tsp) active dry yeast

- 1 tablespoon sugar

- 1½ teaspoons salt

- 1 cup warm water (110°F to 115°F)

- 3 tablespoons cannabis-infused olive oil

- Extra flour for dusting

- Extra olive oil for greasing

Preparation

1. In a large bowl, combine the yeast, warm water, and sugar. Stir lightly and let sit for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture becomes frothy, signaling that the yeast is active.


2. Add the cannabis-infused olive oil to the yeast mixture.


3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, stirring continuously until the dough begins to form.


4. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.


5. Oil a large bowl with a little extra cannabis-infused olive oil, place the dough in the bowl, and turn it to coat with oil. Cover with a damp cloth and set aside in a warm, draft-free area. Let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.


6. Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it on a greased baking sheet or into a greased loaf pan.


7. Cover and let rise again until doubled, about 30 minutes.


8. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).


9. Bake the bread for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.


10. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
